Friday 1st MarchCrazy Rich Asians, this film will make you fall in love with romantic comedies again - a  spectacular extravagant modern day Cinderella with some wicked satire.

Based on the acclaimed worldwide bestseller. Native New Yorker Rachel Chu (Constance Wu) accompanies   her boyfriend Nick Young (Henry Golding) to his best friend's wedding in Singapore and meets his family for the first time.   Excited about visiting Asia for the first   time, Rachel is unprepared to learn that Nick has neglected to mention a few details about his life... such as his family is super rich!

Friday 15th March, the much demanded Bohemian Rhapsody, a foot-stomping celebration of Queen, their music and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury, who defied stereotypes and shattered convention to become one of the most beloved entertainers on the planet. 

The film leads up to their famous performance at Live Aid (1985) where Mercury, facing a life-threatening illness, leads the band in one of the greatest performances in the history of rock music. 

Rami Malek (Oscar, Golden Globe & BAFTA for best actor) is incredible as Freddie Mercury.

April we will be screening: (Fri 5th) First Man, A look at the life of the astronaut, Neil Armstrong (Ryan Gosling) and his wife Janet (Claire Foy) and the riveting story between the years of 1961-1969.  The film show the struggles and personal sacrifices made in order for the NASA mission to succeed and for him to become the first man to walk on the moon on 20th July, 1969.  
(*Thurs 18th) Green Book, a bouncer from an Italian-American neighborhood in the Bronx, is hired to drive Dr. Don Shirley (Mahershala Ali), a world-class Black pianist, on a concert tour from Manhattan to the Deep South, they must rely on "The Green Book" to guide them to the few establishments that were then safe for African-Americans. Confronted with racism, danger, as well as unexpected humanity and humour, they are forced to set aside differences to survive and thrive on the journey of a lifetime.  3 Oscar wins, including  Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor and Best Screenplay at this year’s Oscars.

Doors open 7.30pm, join us for a glass of wine or a slice of delicious home made cake before the screening starts at 8pm.

Tickets for each standard screening cost £6 (£3 for children under 15) on the door, in advance via chiddingfoldcinema.com, or from Treacle’s Tea Shop on The Green.  Tickets for the next two screenings are also available during the interval.  *Season tickets are also available.

Chiddingfold Village Cinema is run entirely by volunteers with all profits going to the village hall.
