Films coming to Chiddingfold Cinema

April, May & June

Dear Visitor,

We have some fabulous films coming to Chiddingfold Cinema over the next few months.

Friday 15th April we are screening WEST SIDE STORY -  Directed by Academy Award winner Steven Spielberg, from a screenplay by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner Tony Kushner, "West Side Story" tells the classic tale of fierce rivalries and young love in 1957 New York City:

Love at first sight strikes when young Tony spots Maria at a high school dance in 1957 New York City. Their burgeoning romance helps to fuel the fire between the warring Jets and Sharks -- two rival gangs vying for control of the streets.  Ansel Elgort (Tony), Rachel Zegler (Maria), Maddie Ziegler (Velma), Ariana DeBose (Anita).

Certificate 12 tickets are booking now - £6 for adults and £3 for under 15's.  Book online:  https://www.chiddingfoldcinema.com/book-online

20th May 2022 we will be screening the Oscar winning 2022 Best Screenplay BELFAST - Semi autobiographical, this poignant story of love, laughter and loss is based upon true events of Kenneth Branagh a young boy and his working class Belfast family experience the tumultuous late 1960s.  With the music of Van Morrison Belfast will leave you laughing and crying.   Tickets will be on sale online from 16th April.

17th June 2022 we will be screening the long awaited THE DUKE - Based on real events when in 1961, Kempton Bunton (Jim Broadbent), a 60 year old taxi driver, steals Goya's portrait of the Duke of Wellington from the National Gallery in London.  Tickets will be on sale online from 21st May.

Chiddingfold Village Hall is a Covid secure venue.  The cinema has ample socially distanced seating.  We would request that all attendees over the age of 11 wear a face covering other than when eating or drinking in your seat.

Doors open at 7.30pm when there will be the licensed bar, tea, coffee, cakes and sweets.  During the interval refreshments will be available again along with ice-creams.

The Chiddingfold Cinema is entirely run by volunteers with all profits going to the improvement of facilities at the Village Hall.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
