REMINDER: Instead of the normal 3rd Friday due to other events at the village hall the film LIVING is being screened tonight at 8pm.


Specially adapted from the 1952 Japanese classic film Ikiru for Bill Nighy. In 1950s London, in which a staid, emotionally withdrawn local government official Mr Williams (Bill Nighy) receives news which compels him to rethink his outlook on life, to move to the South Coast and cram some fun into his remaining days. An ordinary man, reduced by years of oppressive office routine to a shadow existence, who at the eleventh hour makes a supreme effort to turn his dull life into something wonderful. BAFTA and Oscar nominated a compelling and beautiful film with a career best performance from Bill Nighy.
