Dear Visitor,

We have two great films to screen in June, the first on Friday 2nd June is SHE SAID the incredible breaking of the Harvey Weinstein story and the start of the #METOO movement.  Two-time Academy Award® nominee Carey Mulligan and Zoe Kazan star as New York Times reporters Megan Twohey and Jodi Kantor, who together broke one of the most important stories in a generation discovering a trail of sexual assaults as they work on a story about the film producer, Harvey Weinstein.  Shattering decades of silence around the subject of sexual assault in Hollywood and altered American culture forever.  Fast-paced and performance-driven, one of the best movies of the year.
Drama/History  Cert 15.

Friday 16th June we are screening WHAT'S LOVE GOT TO DO WITH IT? - a British RomCom with Emma Thompson, Lily James and Shazad Latif.  Zoe is a documentary filmmaker who uses a dating app that only delivers an endless stream of Mr. Wrongs. For Zoe's childhood friend and neighbor, Kaz, the answer is to follow his parents' example and opt for an arranged marriage to a bright and beautiful bride from Pakistan. As Zoe films his hopeful journey to marry a stranger, she begins to wonder if she might have something to learn from a profoundly different approach to finding love.
Comedy/Romance  Cert 12.

Film selection - we try to select the best of films available each month.  Not all films are available on DVD to screen, we find a larger number go directly to streaming services.  We welcome suggestions keenly especially if you have seen the film yourselves.  Please have a word with us or email This email address is being protected from spambots.
