Dear Visitor,

It was fabulous to see the cinema so full last month and hope to see many of you back again this month!

On Friday 5th April we will be screening WONKA - the prequel to and based on the extraordinary character at the center of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Roald Dahl’s most iconic children's book and one of the best-selling children's books of all time. "Wonka" tells the wondrous story of how with dreams of opening a shop in a city renowned for its chocolate, a young and poor Willy Wonka discovers that the industry is run by a cartel of greedy chocolatiers, he becomes the world's greatest inventor, magician and chocolate-maker became the beloved Willy Wonka we know today.  Hugh Grant is fabulous as the first known oompa loompa.  Star studded throughout featuring Timothée Chalamet (Wonka), Olivia ColmanMatt LucasJim CarterSally HawkinsRowan AtkinsonHugh Grant and so many many more!
A fabulous film for big kids and small.  PG.

On Thursday 18th April (not our usual Friday) we will be screening WHAT HAPPENS LATER - Willa (Meg Ryan) and Bill (David Duchovny) are ex-lovers that will see each other for the first time in years when they both find themselves snowed in, in-transit, at an airport overnight. Indefinitely delayed, Willa, a magical thinker, and Bill, a catastrophic one, find themselves just as attracted to and annoyed by one another as they did decades earlier. But as they unpack the riddle of their mutual past and compare their lives to the dreams they once shared, they begin to wonder if their reunion is mere coincidence, or something more enchanted.  A gentle playful comedy directed by Meg Ryan.
Comedy/Romance Cert. 15

Finally, some news for those with hearing aids - new hearing loop equipment is being installed in April and should be working in time for our second film.

Although tickets are normally also available on the door, we do ask where possible if people can book their tickets online so that the volunteers know how many chairs to put out.  Online payments are taken via PayPal - you don't need a PayPal account, you just select the credit/debit card option on the PayPal page.

The cinema is run entirely by volunteers, with all profits going to improvements at the Chiddingfold Village Hall charity.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
