As autumn comes in, Chiddingfold Cinema aims to give you chills of a different kind with our late season films, beginning with the dark, atmospheric and fascinatingly ambiguous My Cousin Rachel.

My Cousin Rachel (2017) Starring Rachel Weisz as Rachel Ashley & Sam Claflin as Philip Ashley Drama, based on the classic Daphne Du Maurier novel. When a wealthy English gentleman dies in mysterious circumstances abroad, his young cousin (and heir) becomes convinced his final letters home implicate a new wife, the enigmatic Rachel. Then in December we continue of theme of passion, obsession and murder with The Beguiled. 

The Beguiled (2017) Starring Nicole Kidman as Miss Martha & Colin Farrell as Cpl. McBurney 1864, and despite the Civil War raging around it a Virginia girl's school is still running, albeit with only five remaining students. When one of them stumbles upon a wounded Union soldier they decided to take him in. The arrival of a handsome male presence into the secluded boarding school causes excitement and mounting tension which threatens to go out of control.
